I give the FIRM so much praise because they take working out very seriously and the tapes work. Over the years, I have recommended these tapes to friends and family who all became loyalists. The FIRM Wave More recently, the FIRM has developed a new piece of equipment called the FIRM Wave. I ordered the WAVE and like the 14 inch step of stool that The FIRM introduced over 20 years ago, this also is very effective. You stand on the WAVE and rock back and forth, with a series of different moves. You feel the tension in your thighs and calves as you “ride the Wave.” The Wave comes with 3 DVDs: Ride the Wave, Speed Slimming Sculpt and Rock it Off!. Step Aerobics Step aerobics or step-up aerobics not only tones the legs, buttocks, and thighs but you also get a good cardio workout. Depending on the height of the stool, the workout can be either low or high impact. Also, the height determines which part of your body will receive the most emphasis. | Lunges Lunges involve an extension of the leg to the back or front as you step out. It is the standing back up from the lunge that puts places the tension on the thigh and buttocks. Combining lunges and squats can create dramatic results. Squats Squats or deep knee bends are highly effective for toning the legs, hips and thighs. The downside to squats is that they can cause discomfort and even injury to those who have knee issues. If done properly and with consistency, you will begin to see definition and firming that will be very motivating.
